What subjects do we tutor?

 

We tutor primarily tutor students in Math, Science and English from grades 4 – 12.  Because we hire Ontario Certified Teachers, our tutors also have other specializes such as History, Geography, Economics or Politics so we may be able to help your son and/daughter in several courses.  Just ask us.

 

What areas do we tutor?

 

Crunch Time Tutor is a Toronto based tutoring company but because we teach the Ontario Curriculum, we can service all of Ontario with our private Online tutoring sessions.  For private in-home tutoring we service areas covering the GTA and as far north as Newmarket, including as far west as Milton and into the Durham region to the east.

 

Do we offer Online tutoring? 

 

Crunch Time Tutor has moved to 100 % Online for the 2020 – 2021 school year.  In accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines we are supporting our students and parents through Online tutoring sessions to keep everyone safe.

 

Who are your tutors?

 

Crunch Time Tutor hires Professional Teachers with specific qualifications in their subject area.  Our team consists of Teachers currently working in the field, Retire Teachers, or Teacher Candidates who are completing their degree in a Faculty of Education.

 

How do you know what my child is studying?  

 

Our tutors have knowledge of their specific subject area and follow the Ontario Curriculum which is taught in all Ontario Schools.  The experience our tutors have teaching their subjects along with knowledge of your child’s comprehension of the coursework will dictate the tutoring sessions and what topics need to be covered in each tutoring session.

 

How does Online Tutoring Work?

 

Online Tutoring is a private 1-on-1 lesson geared towards the areas of difficulty your child is facing.  Using the common Online platforms, we try to keep things consistent with your child and use the same Online platform they are using in their virtual classroom (if any).  The session will typically include instructional time, along with a review of the topics covered by their teacher and some interactive component to allow your child to demonstrate their understanding.  Our tutors have experience with Online learning and utilize a variety of tools to keep students engaged and productive.
